YEEZY JEEZY

Nike Singapore commissioned me to create a mural backdrop for the upcoming release of another colorway for the much hyped Air Yeezy that will launch sometimes mid May 2009 here in Singapore. The completed mural will be on display at Nike Wisma Atria Flagship store from 18 May onwards alongside The Killer Gerbil X Nike Air Yeezy tees. More updates in weeks to come.

THE REVOLUTION IS GOING TO BE TELEVISED

The Killer Gerbil will be gracing the local chinese program Channel U called Colour Maestro where it will be featuring profiles of 14 local artists, photographers etc on a journey to discover the different perspectives and philosophy behind the colours of their crafts.

Yours truly will be gracing the second episode which will be airing as follows:

WAX CANDLING

Lately I've tried my hands on the traditional art of Batik painting out of curiousity. An amazing but time consuming medium, I decided to tried out The Killer Gerbil and did a plush toy which made as a gift to my buddy's little girl to rip it apart.

I was rummaging through the worldwideweb on photography stuffs when I stumbled upon my buddy Jimmy from LomotionSG (local film photography forum) where he did a photo essay on a day with The Killer Gerbil sometime last year. It was a nice surprise to see the works from a film genius point of view captured through the lens of his plastic toy camera Holga.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Recently The Killer Gerbil was invited by local food magazine called Halal Food & Beverage for an artist profile and food tasting spread. Apart from the usual interviews I was to taste tons of goodies as part of the magazine food segment. Damn this job is hazardous.
