AARON LAZY

I first met Aaron Lazy some 6 years ago when he was working for Sup Clothing in Haji Lane which I frequent and we've been good friends ever since. He's best known as the store mascot for his great personality, positive attitude towards life and the love for alcohol.

 2 years back I did a caricature drawing of him as a gift in which he promised me that he'll tattoo the artwork one fine day and last week he surprised me by fulfilling it which is by far the most awesome feeling that I as an artist can ever ask, inked artwork for life!

Thank you so much Aaron Lazy for the love, this could not be any better!

NIKE CORTEZ 40TH ANNIVERSARY

Nike Cortez celebrate its 40th anniversary and Singapore is the last country in the Asian league (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand) to hold the event with 8 local movers & shakers to custom the sneakers which were on showcase at Limited Edition store in Marina Bay Sands for a month.

NIKE CORTEZ WORKSHOP

The Killer Gerbil was invited by Nike to be part of Nike Cortez 40th Anniversary by creating an art piece through customizing the sneakers which will showcased soon along with 7 other local celebrities. Participants were invited to Singaporean sneakers customizer Mark Ong aka SBTG's workshop in which he share his customizing skills and help through the progress of individual custom.

Titled "Merantau", the term depict Minankabau (Indonesia) culture where the males of the family upon puberty will seek out new lands for life experience or fortune. Inspired by the culture, this custom also relate to my life as an artist working under The Killer Gerbil name for almost 10 years and the challenges faced as a graffiti artist in Singapore.

This custom encapsulates my signature style that I've perfected over the years and as Cortez is an inspiring shoe with many years of history, I too wish to celebrate my 40th as an artist 30 years in good times to come.

Its that time of the year the sun was out so The Killer Gerbil took the opportunity to fly halfway across the Pacific and timezone to Hawaii for a well deserve break basking at the world's best and appreciating the best from mother nature while getting all inspired.
